The Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) on November 21, 2025, notified the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conduct of Business) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2025, further to amend the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2009.
The following has been stated: -
•Regulation 7(1) (b) has been substituted to specify that the standard quorum for Commission meetings is two members. If only one member is available due to a vacancy or other reasons, the quorum may be one. However, for adjudicatory functions under Section 86(1) (f), a legal expert must be part of the quorum or bench. These changes replace the earlier amended version of the regulation.
They shall come into force on November 21, 2025.
